Taylor Rice

Education Outreach Programs Lead

Taylor Rice is the Lead of Education Outreach Programs for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), where she provides guidance and oversight for initiatives that promote STEM awareness and foster a strong workforce pipeline, including the Innovative Teaching Mini Grants Program, Discover Engineering, CSRA College Night, and STEM Like a Girl – Introduce a Girl to Engineering and IT. Taylor also oversees career and educator tours, SRS STEP Field Trips, and manages Nuclear Science Week activities.

With a background as an educator and laboratory analyst, Taylor brings a unique blend of teaching and technical expertise to her role. She is passionate about connecting students and educators to STEM career opportunities. A proud graduate of USC Aiken, Taylor enjoys serving her community, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two sons.

Cindy Hewitt

Cindy Hewitt is an Education Outreach Specialist for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), where she plays a critical role in inspiring and preparing future STEM leaders. She coordinates impactful programs such as CSRA College Night, the Savannah River Regional Science Bowl, STEM That Travels, STEM Pals with SRS Experts, and Discover Engineering: SRNS Engineers in the Classroom. Cindy also organizes job shadowing opportunities and recruits SRNS volunteers to support career fairs, expos, and other educational events designed to strengthen the workforce pipeline.

A retired educator with over 30 years of experience as a teacher, school counselor, and principal, Cindy leverages her expertise to connect students with professionals and hands-on learning opportunities. Outside of work, Cindy serves on the Public Education Partners (PEP) board and enjoys running, traveling, and exploring new destinations. She is a proud Clemson University graduate.

Rebekah Trull

Rebekah Trull is an Education Outreach Specialist for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), where she works to strengthen the workforce pipeline through transformative STEM programs and initiatives. She leads programs like STEM Like a Girl – Introduce a Girl to Engineering and IT, Innovative Teaching Mini Grants Program, and SRS STEP Field Trips. Additionally, Rebekah co-coordinates the Savannah River Regional Science Bowl, manages the SRS Virtual Field Trip Series, and serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for CSRA College Night.

She also supports career fairs, expos, and other events that promote STEM education and workforce development. A former middle school STEM teacher, Rebekah combines her strong teaching background with a passion for cultivating STEM awareness and essential skills to inspire the future workforce of SRS. A proud graduate of the University of South Carolina Aiken, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and three sons.
