STEP SRS Environmental Science Field Trip Program

STEP up to STEM at the Savannah River Site!

The SRS STEP Field Trip Program is a cooperative effort between Savannah River Nuclear Solutions and the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center (RPSEC) to offer in-person and virtual environmental science field trips to teachers and students. STEP lessons correlate to academic standards for 3rd-12th grade students and utilize real-world investigations that focus on responsible environmental stewardship. In-person classes are taught in outdoor settings at the Savannah River Site.

Virtual Field Trip Opportunities Available

The program is a cooperative effort by DOE-Savannah River, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC, Ruth Patrick Science Education Center, National Audubon Society and the U.S. Forest Service.
